Has anyone else taken a look at the trailer for the Decemberist's visualizer? I think it may be a little too stylized and abstract. I know a lot of people don't think that a literal interpretation of the album is a good idea, but whenever I listen to the album I get a vivid image of the actual events occurring. So much so that I decided to make a full length live-action representation of The Hazards of Love. Last year I made one for the song "The Perfect Crime #2" but this is going to be a lot larger. I just wanted to know if anyone has any thoughts on this sort of thing. I posted some pictures of my progress so far.
Well, hopefully I'll be done in the Spring. Bear in mind that since I don't own the rights to the songs I can't distribute my video without permission from the Decemberists. And considering how long it is taking for them to even watch my Perfect Crime video, it may be a while till the general public gets to see it, if at all. But thank you for your interest! I have uploaded a trailer to Youtube and you can watch it here. Let me know what you think of my casting and such. (I'm VERY happy with my Margaret actress.)
